My story

It all began when...

Thanks to his Italian grandfather, the owner of a tailor’s workshop in Guadalahara, Mexico, and his mother modeller, Santiago Lomelli grew up in an environment that surrounded him with silk, pearls and small cut-out silhouettes that as a child he would dress using scraps of fabric.

Naturally, from a very young age Santiago developed a strong sense of taste for  creation, tailoring and style (in its purest form).

A style that soon becomes edgy thanks to fashion design classes he takes secretly from his father, who envisages a completely different career for him. Congratulated and encouraged by his tutors for his talent and perfectionism, Santiago will open his first boutique with the support of his father. He is seventeen years old and his success steadily increases as attested by the large number of clients whom he takes great care of.

Soon after, Santiago will set his objectives even further. He wants to know Paris, the capital of Haute Couture. The city where Yves-Saint-Laurent, Valentino and Chanel lived and created. He studies all the artistic professions that he can master in order to perfect his “savoir-faire”. From the design to the embroidery of Lunéville passing by modelling, cutting and feather decoration, as well as moulding of artificial flowers – with the tools he inherited from his grandfather- , Santiago, patiently, learns.

His exceptional know-how enabled him to work with the most prestigious couture Houses such as Chanel, Christian Dior, Christian Lacroix, Yves Saint Laurent, Schiaparelli, Franck Sorbier, Alexis Mabille and Margiela for John Galliano.

Santiago’s fine craftsmanship has been recognized by Chamber of Crafts and craftsmanships of Paris. He has also become a member of the National Institute for Artistic and fine craftsmanship (INMA), as well as the Institut des Métiers d’Art du Patrimoine which aims at preserving French traditional artisanship.

His unwavering will to live his passion and honor his family, opens for him the doors of his first “Atelier Privé”, in the stylish neighbourhood of Saint-Germain-des-Près. All his creations follow Parisian standards to be officially labelled “Made In Paris

A unique venue where the artist welcomes the women who choose him. Santiago, thanks to his capacity to listen, he realizes unique pieces that pay homage to women   personality and bring forward “the natural beauty of the body”.
